In a make-or-break move, BlackBerry maker Research in Motion will announce the all-new BlackBerry 10 smartphones in an already competitive smartphone market on Wednesday, January 30 at 10am EST/7am PST.
The Waterloo, Ontario-based company RIM’s BlackBerry was the market leader until Apple’s iPhone was introduced in 2007 and Google’s Android phones after that. BlackBerry 10 is based on QNX, the in-car entertainment operating system that RIM bought in April, 2009.
The Research In Motion (RIM) has also announced that it will run a 30-second commercial, in its First-Ever Super Bowl Ad (Super Bowl XLVII),to spotlight its new BB10 platform and devices.
