Blackstone Inc. CEO Steve Schwarzman Reports Compensation of $896.7 Million

In a significant financial disclosure, Blackstone Inc. Chief Executive Officer Steve Schwarzman reported earnings of $896.7 million last year, reflecting a 30% decrease compared to the previous year. Nonetheless, this payout remains one of the largest annual compensations recorded in high finance.
At the age of 77, Schwarzman garnered $777 million solely from dividends, attributable to his approximately 20% stake in the alternative-asset manager, as per a regulatory filing released on Friday. In addition, he accrued an extra $120 million, primarily through incentive fees and the share of fund profits, commonly referred to as carried interest. Notably, Schwarzman received a record $1.27 billion in compensation in 2022.
