Former MPC Container Ships CEO Constantin Baack to Replace Current MPC Capital CEO Ulf Holländer as He Steps Down

MPC Capital, a stalwart in asset and investment management, is undergoing a significant leadership shift. Constantin Baack, previously at the helm of Oslo-listed tonnage provider MPC Container Ships, has been chosen to steer the course at German-based MPC Capital. This transition follows the tenure of Ulf Holländer, who led the company as CEO for nine years.

In June, Holländer will transition to the supervisory board, succeeding Ottmar Gast. Reflecting on Holländer’s contributions, Axel Schroeder, Chairman of the MPC Capital supervisory board, expressed gratitude for his pivotal role in reshaping the company into its current robust form.

In tandem with Baack’s appointment, Christian Schwenkenbecher assumes the role of Chief Client Officer at MPC Capital. Meanwhile, Moritz Fuhrman, the finance chief of MPC Container Ships, joins Baack as Co-CEO, signaling a strategic alignment for sustained growth and innovation.

Baack, a veteran within MPC Capital since 2008, brings a wealth of experience, having spearheaded various investment initiatives, including the inception of MPC Container Ships. Working alongside CFO Philipp Lauenstein and Holländer, Baack has been instrumental in the company’s global expansion and service diversification.

Looking ahead, Baack envisions MPC Capital leveraging its strong foundation to seize opportunities amidst a challenging global market landscape. He highlights the potential arising from the accelerating energy transition and the imperative of decarbonizing global trade, emphasizing the company’s readiness to capitalize on these prospects.
