As of 19 March 2024, Tadashi Yanai was estimated as the wealthiest person in Japan, with a net worth of around $44.5 billion, followed by Masayoshi Son (No. 2, $31.1 billion), Takemitsu Takizaki (No. 3, $22.1 billion); and Takahisa Takahara (No. 4, $6.3 billion). Yasumitsu Shigetais the fifth-richest person in Japan, with a whopping $4.5 billion.

Akio Nitori ranked 6th with a personal wealth of $4.4 billion, followed by Takao Yasuda with $4.4 billion and Masahiro Miki with $3.9 billion. Hiroshi Mikitani is placed 9th with a net worth of $3.7 billion. Masahiro Noda ($3.7 billion) occupied the 10th position among the wealthiest people in Japan.
