Which U.S. cities are considered to be the most sexually violent?

According to a new study released by DatingAdvice.com Philadelphia rank as No. 1 on a list of the 24 most sexually violent cities in the United States based on the total number of rapes that were reported by law enforcement agencies. This is the list no city wants to appear on.

Researchers analyzed crime data from the FBI’s 2013 Uniform Crime Report and found there were 1,279 reported rapes in Philadelphia that year. But does Philadelphia deserve the dubious distinction?

The report had Philadelphia ranked no. 1, but when you factor in population it ranks 12th. Springfield, Missouri had the highest number of rapes compared to its population.

It’s hard to get a true sense of sexual assault, sexual violence, and rape statistics because so many victims don’t report the crimes.
