Animation stories have created their own history through the years. Billions of kids have grown up watching these characters on TV or in films. The success of this industry cannot be doubted, and of course, it holds a revenue of billions of dollars.

  1. Pokemon
    Pokemon tops the list. It is a creation of Japanese origin that was inspired by Satoshi Tajiri, Ken Sugimori, and Junichi Masuda. It is for franchise business use and offers two entertainment categories: anime and video games. Its debut was as a video game for Nintendo’s Game Boy, but soon after was released as an anime, and its success spread all over the world. Pokemon’s profit exceeds 110 billion dollars. 
  2. Anpanman
    It is also a Japanese anime creation that was first released in a book series and nowadays transferred to TV and video games. The protagonist is Anpanman, who is extremely powerful, and his head looks like an anpan. Anpanman has the goodwill to protect every aspect of life and every being with his power. Anpanman’s profit is almost 45 million dollars. 
  3. Dragon Ball
    Japanese Akira Toriyama is the “father” of Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball made its debut in 1984. It is a comic that was steadily released in book series, and it became an inspiration for anime over the years. Son Goku is the main character who keeps his fans vivid with his everyday life. It is widely popular worldwide, and its revenue is estimated to be 30 billion dollars. 
  4. Gundam
    In a fantastic world, there live strange robots which are called Gundam. These robots are of Japanese origin and first appeared on Tv in 1979. It is for a franchise business to use this anime. These strange protagonists, except on TV, are featured in comics, video games, and films. A whole industry makes money from Gundam. The revenue reaches 27.8 billion dollars. 
  5. Yu-Gi-Oh
    Yugi Mutou is the protagonist in this manga, which was first released around 2000. Yugi and his friends find themselves in various adventures that come from an ancient origin factor. Yugi Mutou is present in anime, films, and video games. The revenue of Yu-Gi-Oh reaches 17.1 billion dollars. 
  6. One Piece
    A boy and the hidden powers of a strange fruit create the main story of One Piece. The manga has become an anime story, film, and video game. Eiichiro Oda is the “father” of the manga and the basic factor for this huge success. One Piece achieved a revenue of 14.5 billion dollars. 
  7. Sailor Moon
    This famous girl first appeared in the 1990s. It is not necessary to write much about this manga since it is known globally. The total revenue of this anime reaches 13.9 billion dollars. 
  8. Neon Genesis Evangelion
    Everything that happens in this anime is in the sphere of fantasy. A kind of “war” is happening in this anime with a protagonist, a boy who takes the situation into his hands. You can also find Neon Genesis Evangelion in video games. The total revenue of this anime is registered at 12 billion dollars. 
  9. Demon Slayer
    A teenager tries to kill demons after some unfortunate facts happen to his family. It is an anime story but can also be found in video games. Everything happens in Japan, where a strange story with protagonist demons takes place. The revenue of this anime reaches 9.5 billion dollars. 
  10. Pretty Cure
    A team of girls with powerful magic abilities keeps their fans’ interest alive with their stories. It is an anime but also can be found in video games and films. Today the series counts hundreds of episodes. The revenue reaches 8.39 billion dollars.
