3 Secret Destinations You Will Love In Europe

Europe is a tourist magnet. The colorful towns and villages capture our curiosity and spark the adventurous child inside us. History enthusiasts appreciate Europe’s ancient architecture, while outdoor enthusiasts are fascinated by its diverse landscapes. If you’re a “foodie traveler,” it’s easy to fall in love with Europe’s hidden gems away from its famous Capitals. The secret diamonds in the Old Continent, which every “real traveler” will have to explore on the journey of a lifetime, are presented in this article.

Mantua in Italy

The list of hidden destinations in Europe starts with Mantua in Italy. Mantua is a Lombard city that Unesco protects for its unique Renaissance architecture. Hidden in lakes and stained by the despotic acts of rulers. The most famous family, Gonzaga, who was there for 400 years (14th to 18th centuries), turned Mantua into a center of the Renaissance. Admire the Ducal Palace that houses the bridal chamber decorated with Antonio Mantegna frescoes and indulge in the unique beauty of Te Palace, a creation of the same family as the mythological scenes that embrace every surface of the building.

Captivating Europe includes the extraordinary beauty of Mantua and is also an important part of the history of opera. In the streets of the city of the 19th century, Verdi composed the tragic opera Rigoletto, a true hymn to the world’s classical music. In this magical city, Shakespeare’s Romeo learned about Juliet’s death. It is the birthplace city of the Latin poet Virgil. Mantua will pleasantly surprise you with its special culture.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

With its wars, the long-suffering Bosnia and Herzegovina have a special place in the list of imposing diamonds in unknown Europe. Adventure activities, fascinating history, and a mixture of Ottoman and Western architecture will accompany you at every step in this small country. The capital Sarajevo is slowly beginning to find its place on the tourist map of Europe. Influenced by the Ottoman Empire, it has highlighted unique museums, mosques, cathedrals, and cobbled streets. The lovely Mostar, with its impressive bridge, is a must-see. The alleys with the Turkish hammam, the clock tower, the Mostar mosque, and the beautiful historic center can keep you there forever.

Rafting around Konjic is truly unique because of its crystal clear waters. The unexpected beauty at the Kravica Falls, the monastery inside a lake in Scit, endless hikes in the mountain village of Lukimor, and the view of the Ottoman wonder village are only some of the treasures. The only experience of staying overnight in Zavala. A town of two residents where the owner will welcome you with his guitar and put you to sleep inside a converted train station. At every corner, there is a new experience. Locals will bring a smile to your face.

Haarlem in Netherlands,

Amsterdam and the Port of Holland Rotterdam are both exciting destinations in Europe. However, neither can be added to the hidden gems list since they are well-known worldwide. A small town – 20 minutes by train from Amsterdam – is well worth your visit. A carpet of Tulips is laid out in the beautiful city of Haarlem every spring. From here begins the famous tulip road to disembark south to Naaldwijk. In the Museum of the same name, you can admire the most important works of the famous painter Frans Hals. While in the church De Grote of Sint-Bavokerk, you will find one of the largest church organs in the world, on which Mozart played at the age of 10.

Pretty sights, excellent museums, the imposing mill of Hadrian, unique boutiques, sandy beaches, and a wide variety of restaurants are about to hypnotize you. Haarlem is an excellent city destination where you will experience authentic Dutch culture.
