Huawei’s Big Reveal: New Phones and a Luxury Car Brand Unveiled

Huawei is gearing up for a major launch this November, as Richard Yu, the CEO of the Consumer Business Group, disclosed that the highly anticipated Mate 70 series will officially debut on November 26.

In addition to this announcement, Yu revealed the debut of Maextro, a brand-new luxury car line. The surprising news came during an interview at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, while Huawei’s social media platforms remain notably quiet on the subject.

The Mate 70 series is expected to include four models: the Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+, and the premium Mate 70 RS Ultimate. All devices will reportedly run HarmonyOS Next, Huawei’s groundbreaking operating system, which is said to be independent of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

Speculation is also swirling about the hardware under the hood. The lineup may feature the new HiSilicon Kirin 9100 chip, believed to be manufactured on a 6nm process by SMIC. Early reports suggest its performance could rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 or MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000, marking a significant leap for Huawei’s in-house silicon.

With groundbreaking technology and a bold move into the luxury car market, Huawei’s November announcements are shaping up to make waves across industries.
