Hybe CEO Outlines Path Forward After Court Rejects Former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin’s Injunction Request

Following the court’s rejection of former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin’s request for a provisional injunction to reinstate her position, Hybe signaled swift steps to stabilize ADOR operations, according to internal communications shared with staff.

Industry insiders reported on Wednesday that Hybe CEO Lee Jae-sang communicated with employees shortly after the ruling, noting that the seven-month period of uncertainty had reached a critical turning point, and that the resolution of multiple issues was now more feasible. Lee emphasized that Hybe would focus on normalizing ADOR’s operations and aim to advance contract renewal discussions with NewJeans’ producer Min Hee-jin.

Lee further reiterated Hybe’s dedication to NewJeans’ global growth, acknowledging challenges but affirming that the company remains committed to supporting the group’s rise as a prominent international artist. His message followed a period of significant internal and external strain for Hybe, including a public apology from Lee over leaked documents related to the ADOR dispute.

Reflecting on lessons learned, Lee stated that the situation had underscored the need for continued efforts to strengthen Hybe and elevate the music industry as a whole. He called on the team to reassess overlooked areas, questioning whether past successes aligned with the company’s standards.

Lee also addressed potential organizational restructuring, indicating that the issues uncovered during the dispute would be resolved thoughtfully, even if gradual adjustments were needed. He noted that personnel changes might be considered to support operational stability and affirmed that accountability and adherence to principles would guide the company’s actions to foster a transparent, progressive K-pop industry.

To discuss these developments further, Hybe announced a town hall meeting for all employees at its Yongsan, Seoul headquarters.
