Judy Misra, currently serving as Director of contractor services for Community Pharmacy Wales (CPW), is set to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer at Optometry Wales starting April 1, 2024.
Expressing her anticipation for the new role, Misra stated that she is eager to embark on this journey with Optometry Wales and to provide support to optometry practices as they navigate towards a new and promising future.
Since joining CPW in 2010, Misra has been deeply involved in contract negotiation and played a pivotal role in developing the new community pharmacy contract launched in 2022. Her collaborative efforts with Optometry Wales have included creating community pharmacy briefings and training on the Common Ailments Service and former Welsh Eye Care Services.
Misra’s tenure at CPW includes a stint as Acting Chief Executive for six months in 2023, following seven years as Deputy to the Chief Executive.
