Barathan Pasupathi Appointed as CEO of Jazeera Airways
Jazeera Airways has announced the departure of Chief Executive Officer Rohit Ramachandran after seven years of dedicated service. Stepping into this role is Barathan Pasupathi (Bara), former Chief Financial Officer, who brings a wealth of experience from Jetstar Asia, another prominent low-cost carrier. Jazeera Airways, established in 2004 as the Middle East’s first fully private airline, has grown significantly since its inaugural flight in 2005.
Marwan Boodai, Chairman of Jazeera Airways, praised Ramachandran’s tenure, describing him as a true champion of the brand and its people. Under his leadership, the airline expanded its network to 65 destinations, achieved record passenger volumes, and spearheaded initiatives such as the Jazeera Terminal 5, positioning the company for future success even amidst the challenges of the pandemic.
Barathan Pasupathi’s appointment signifies a new chapter for Jazeera Airways. With experience from Jetstar Asia and a career spanning Sahaab Aircraft Leasing and Mabanaft Singapore Pte Ltd, Bara brings over three decades of aviation industry expertise and a deep understanding of safety protocols.
