Kia India has announced Gwanggu Lee as the incoming Managing Director and CEO, taking over from Tae Jin Park, who is retiring after a 36-year tenure with the South Korean automaker. Lee assumes the role with immediate effect.
Lee brings a wealth of experience from diverse leadership positions across various departments and locations, spanning both developed and developing economies. His professional journey includes engagements in the US, Canada, Italy, Mexico, Kia Headquarters in Central and South America, and Kia Europe Headquarters in Germany.
Before assuming the responsibility at Kia India, Lee served as President at Kia Mexico. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant growth, solidifying its position as a prominent production and export hub, as outlined by the automaker.
Highlighting Kia India’s successful products like Seltos and Sonet in the local market, Lee expressed confidence in the company’s trajectory towards sustainable business growth. He shared his vision to unlock the next phase of growth by delivering inspiring Kia brand experiences, aiming to create enduring value for customers, partners, and employees alike.
