RBC’s US unit City National Names its new CFO

Royal Bank of Canada’s US unit, City National Bank, has announced the appointment of Chris Doll as Chief Financial Officer, effective November 27.

This appointment follows closely on the heels of City National naming Howard Hammond, another Fifth Third veteran, as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Doll, formerly the Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations at Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ: FITB), will take over from John Bai. Bai will continue to support the transition until the end of the year.

In a regulatory report last month, City National disclosed that RBC infused approximately $2.95 billion into the bank to reinforce its capital and enhance liquidity on its balance sheet.
