ANZ named David Leong as the next CEO of ANZ’s Taiwan
Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has revealed a key senior appointment, signifying a change in leadership for its Taiwan operations. David Leong has been declared as the incoming CEO of ANZ’s Taiwan, and he will be reporting to Peter Chan, the CEO of ANZ’s Hong Kong division.
David Leong, the newly appointed CEO of ANZ’s Taiwan operations, has been a part of the ANZ family for 15 years. In his most recent position, he served as the Joint Coverage Head for Specialised Industries and Local Corporates, based out of Singapore. Leong’s leadership trajectory at ANZ also includes key roles in Hong Kong, China, and Singapore. Prior to his tenure at ANZ, he held senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, where he was the Head of Transaction Banking in Korea and Head of Trade and Supply Chain in China.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Chan, Hong Kong CEO, said: “Our Taiwan presence plays a critical role in helping our financial institution and corporate relationships manage financial capital and move goods around the region. Taiwan has a leading position in the advanced technology sector, and our customers there form part of our largest and most valued supply chain programs across our highly connected network.
