Here’s our list of the best luxury hotels in Corsica, 2020

If you have been to mainland France before, don’t write off Corsica expecting more of the same. Although it has been part of France for more than 2 centuries, Corsica has its own unique identity.

The geographical diversity of Corsica is astonishing. The landscape of Corsica is made up of coastal cities, hilltop villages, beaches, bays, mountain ridges, valleys, and dense forests. The incredible fact is that all these are within an hour’s drive from each other! Corsica offers some excellent opportunities for diving and hiking.

The Fesch Museum was built by cardinal Joseph Fesch, Napoleon I’s uncle. This fine arts museum includes a grand collection of paintings from artists of the likes of Bellini and Botticelli.

Make it a point to visit the city of Calvi. Its cobblestone streets have many art galleries, restaurants, and shops. Corsica has some of the most sensational beaches. You may want to bask in the sun in peace. Or you can swim in the ocean.
