Lund University placed No. 1 among Swedish universities and No. 92 among universities worldwide, according to the higher-education analytics firm QS ‘s best universities in the world for 2019 rankings, closely followed by rival university, KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
KTH Royal Institute of Technology has been recognized as the second best university in Sweden for 2019, while Uppsala University and Chalmers University of Technology placed third and fourth, respectively. The 2019 rankings put Stockholm University in fifth ahead of University of Gothenburg into sixth; while Linköping University (LiU) ranked seventh, and Umea University eighth in Sweden.
