Marco Santos Elevated to Group CEO of GFT Technologies
In a strategic maneuver poised to redefine its trajectory, GFT Technologies announces the elevation of Marco Santos, Regional CEO, to the esteemed position of Group CEO, effective July 1, 2024. Santos, a stalwart within the GFT fold since 2011, ascends to the pinnacle of leadership, embodying a legacy of innovation and foresight. The transition heralds the departure of incumbent Group CEO Marika Lulay, whose indelible imprint on GFT’s legacy spans over two decades.
Alongside Santos’ promotion, GFT unveils the ascension of Jochen Reutz, the current CFO, to the role of Deputy Group CEO, effective January 1, 2025. Reutz, a seasoned veteran with GFT since 2003, epitomizes continuity and stability, securing an extended contract until December 31, 2029.
Santos’ journey within GFT is marked by a tapestry of leadership roles, commencing as the Country Manager of GFT Brazil and culminating in his stewardship of GFT Americas, where he orchestrated operations spanning North and Latin America.
These transformative appointments follow the recent induction of Ian Oswald as the company’s Executive Director of Strategy and Offerings, underscoring GFT’s unwavering commitment to innovation and strategic evolution in an ever-evolving landscape.
Ulrich Dietz, Chairman of the Administrative Board of GFT Technologies, lauds Santos as a trailblazer in harnessing the potential of emergent technologies, notably artificial intelligence, to propel GFT and its clientele into new realms of success and efficiency. Dietz also accredits GFT’s international ascension to Lulay’s strategic acumen and steadfast leadership.
