Martin Helbo Behrens Succeeds Current CEO of ChemoMetec Rasmus Kofoed
In a strategic move, ChemoMetec’s (CHEMM (CPH)) Board of Directors has appointed Martin Helbo Behrens, the current Chief Operating Officer, as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
This shift in leadership comes as a result of the Board’s evaluation, which recognizes the evolving needs of ChemoMetec’s developmental phase. Consequently, an agreement has been reached with the outgoing CEO, Rasmus Kofoed, who has agreed to step down from his position with immediate effect.
Moving forward, Behrens, alongside CFO Niels Høy Nielsen, will constitute ChemoMetec’s executive management team, poised to lead the company into its next chapter of innovation and prosperity.
At 31 years old, Martin Helbo Behrens brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Having been with ChemoMetec for several years, he initially joined the company in the Group Finance department. His journey led him to the United States in 2021, where he assumed positions of increasing responsibility, first as COO and later as CFO of ChemoMetec’s American subsidiary. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in driving ChemoMetec’s expansion and commercial success in the North American market.
Returning to ChemoMetec’s headquarters in Allerød in 2023, Behrens assumed the role of Deputy COO before being promoted to COO on February 1, 2024.
The Board’s decision to appoint Behrens as CEO is rooted in his profound understanding of ChemoMetec’s organizational dynamics, products, and market landscapes. His proven track record of delivering results further solidifies their confidence in his ability to steer ChemoMetec toward continued growth and success.
