Jeffrey G. Sipes Named CEO of S&B Engineering and Construction Firm
Jeffrey G. Sipes assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer at S&B. Slaughter and Brookshire, the company’s directors, will continue as directors of S&B, while Lori Brookshire Garrison and James G. (Jimmy) Slaughter Jr. will join them on the board of directors, ushering in a new era of leadership and growth for the company.
Having joined S&B as Chief Commercial Officer in 2021, Sipes has been instrumental in driving the firm’s business development and marketing endeavors, including expansion into new markets and strategic planning. He spearheaded a recent strategy review that charts S&B’s course for future growth.
Prior to joining S&B, Sipes held the position of Principal Vice President and Manager of Global Business Development at Bechtel. He commenced his career at Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CB&I) and has amassed over 30 years of experience in project management, business development, and leadership roles across Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.
Sipes holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University and has been recognized for his contributions, being elected to the Texas Tech Civil Engineering Academy in 2010. He has also served as an ambassador for the university’s International Experience Program.
In a statement, J.D. Slaughter and J.W. “Brook” Brookshire highlighted S&B’s sixty years of growth and success, expressing confidence in Sipes to lead the company towards further achievements. They praised Sipes’ extensive experience and deep understanding of S&B’s markets and capabilities.
