Müller Yogurt & Desserts Welcomes Richard Williams in the Role of CEO

Müller Yogurt & Desserts has appointed Richard Williams as CEO for the UK & Ireland. Richard Williams joins Müller Yogurt & Desserts from Saputo, where he served as an Executive Committee Member and Vice President of its cheese business, overseeing all commercial functions.

As a strategic business leader and marketer, Richard spearheaded a turnaround strategy for Saputo’s cheese portfolio, successfully securing new private label contracts and implementing key network transformation initiatives.

Williams brings over 20 years of extensive experience in marketing, commercial, and general management within the dairy and FMCG sectors. With a focus on the yogurt and desserts category, Richard previously held the position of Business Unit Director for Yoplait Europe at General Mills and spent seven years in various roles within Danone’s US dairy division, including four years as Marketing Director.

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Richard emphasized the iconic status of Müller Yogurt & Desserts in the UK market and its extensive presence in households nationwide. He outlined his vision to strengthen the brand’s position by prioritizing customer relationships, innovation, marketing, quality, and sustainability.
