Veradigm CEO and CFO Are Requested to Resign
On Friday, Veradigm Inc. (MDRX) announced that its Board has requested the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Richard Poulton and Chief Financial Officer Leah Jones. This action comes in response to an independent investigation conducted by the Audit Committee concerning the company’s financial reporting and its potential impact on prior reports.
Greg Garrison, the current chairman, has been appointed as the company’s executive chairman, while Shih-Yin Ho, an existing director, will serve as the interim chief executive officer. Additionally, Lee Westerfield, boasting over 25 years of experience and currently serving as the finance chief at Clearsense, will step in as the interim chief financial officer.
Veradigm has commenced the search for a permanent CEO and CFO. The newly constituted leadership team is presently reassessing the financial projections for fiscal 2023, initially issued on September 18.
Earlier, Veradigm received a notification from Nasdaq indicating non-compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rules due to the failure to submit its annual report for the year ending December 31, 2022, and quarterly reports, including the period ending March 31, 2023.
