Mark Davies Succeeds Harry as Primary Health Properties CEO
Primary Health Properties has announced the appointment of Mark Davies, ACA, as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from the conclusion of its annual meeting on 24 April. He will be taking over from Harry Hyman, the founder of PHP, whose departure was announced in December of the previous year.
Primary Health Properties, a company that specializes in investing in modern primary healthcare facilities, described Davies as a highly experienced FTSE 250 executive, and Steve Owen, Chairman of Primary Health Properties, expressed his satisfaction with Mark Davies’ appointment.
Mark has previously held CEO and CFO roles in both listed companies and private equity firms. Notably, he co-founded NewRiver REIT in 2009 and played a crucial role in guiding the group from its initial public offering (IPO) to inclusion in the FTSE 250 within seven years. Davies also served as CFO of NewRiver for over 12 years and concurrently held the positions of CEO and executive chairman of Hawthorn for five years. Currently, he serves as the senior independent director at Palace Capital, a London-listed REIT.
