Who is the new CFO of Australia’s Treasury Wine Estates?

Australia’s Treasury Wine Estates Ltd announced the appointment of Stuart Boxer as its Chief Financial and Strategy Officer, effective from November 1. Boxer will take over from Matt Young, who has served as the group’s CFO since 2018.

Boxer, currently holding the position of Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at the country’s largest winemaker, will now integrate his current responsibilities with the new role of CFO, as stated in the company’s announcement.

Treasury Wine Estates anticipates benefiting from Boxer’s extensive expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and M&A activities. Before joining Treasury Wines, Boxer had a role as CFO and Executive General Manager of Strategy at DuluxGroup for a little over a decade.

The company, headquartered in Melbourne, recently appointed John Mullen as its Chairman, succeeding Paul Rayner, who retired from the company’s board last month.
