Exploring North Europe: 3 Places You Didn’t Know

Beyond international attractions like the Acropolis in Athens and the Berlin Wall, endless European gems exist to explore. Suppose you are given the opportunity to embark on your beautiful journey to Europe. In that case, you will get to meet dazzling places. In which magical city will your escape begin? Famous destinations, from London to Paris, Rome, and Barcelona, have become so crowded. At any moment, one can get lost inside the Eiffel Tower and Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam. If you have already been there, it is time to come and meet some destinations in Europe that are not so well-known. The journey in the exciting paths of Europe is about to start.

Explore Vezele in the French Province

The undisputed French “province” is one of Europe’s best places to visit. The small village of Vézelay is at the top of a hill full of vineyards, sunflowers, and cows. Known for the Romanesque basilica of Sainte Marie Madeleine and the remarkable Vezelay Abbey Church dating back to the 11th century, it is a must-see destination in France. Its medieval beauty will take you to another era. Unesco preserves the homonymous village and is actually an architectural gem of France.

The local white wines, special boutiques, and art galleries will excite you. Notably, the main pilgrimage routes of Santiago de Compostela of Spain began from there. A walk to the northwestern tip of Parc Naturel Regional du Morvan will reward you with historical sights and unique lovely villages. Beautiful France never ceases to display its imperial charm in Europe.

Svalbard archipelago, the experience of the Arctic reality

In the Svalbard archipelago in faraway Norway, there are three main seasons: the Polar Summer, the Northern Lights Winter, and the Sunny Winter. If you love nature and natural phenomena, then a trip to the northernmost archipelago in the world is a fantastic idea. One more special place in Europe that deserves to be put on our travel map. The archipelago has seven islands, and only three of them are inhabited. Glaciers cover 60% of the archipelago.

Nature maniacs will be ecstatic, from the mountains to the islands, the seven national parks, and the impressive caves. You may be interested to learn that the caves were formed before the ice age. Live the experience of the steppe in the summer season with Arctic animals. See huge whales flying over the waters of the archipelago, camp under the green lighting in the sky during the Northern Lights, and get your adrenaline pumping with a snowmobile on the frozen land. A unique travel experience in the northernmost part of Norway calls for you to live it. Europe continues to fascinate at every step.

Bibury and Alice In Wonderland

The Victorian Bibury will enchant you with its old post office, built in the late 18th century. It still works as a post office so you can send a postcard with a stamp from the most beautiful village in England. Inside the homonymous building, you will find a shop to buy souvenirs from the Cotswolds area and a cafe for a quick snack.

You will also have the opportunity to live the experience of “Tea time” in one of the rooms named after the well-known author William Morris. The tea rooms are inside a magnificent 17th-century cottage. The unique atmosphere of the halls will take you to Alice’s magical home in Wonderland. English shellfish, loose tea leaves, soups, specially prepared sweets, and homemade cakes will deliciously beautify your life. You can’t really leave England without tasting an afternoon tea.

Travel is not a destination but the idea of traveling. Europe will always unite us in different ways. Stay tuned until we take you to other hidden secrets of the Old Continent.
