CEO Insights: The Resilience of Lavour “Boomman” Sanders: Overcoming Adversity and Achieving Greatness in Music and Business

Lavour Sanders

The upending of even the most carefully constructed plan has left countless individuals who have invested time, effort, and finances to make their dreams a reality at a crossroads. It forces the strongest among us to reassess everything we’ve worked so hard for. While these journeys can be daunting, they also offer valuable lessons about ourselves and our capabilities. As the saying goes, anything worth having in life doesn’t come easy.

Lavour Sanders, also known as Boomman, can attest to the truth of this statement. His lifelong passion for music led him on a tumultuous path to success, filled with unexpected twists and turns that can serve as inspiration to anyone hoping for the same in their own lives. This is the inspiring story told within the pages of his new book Independent King.

The First Steps Towards The Goal

Sanders’s introduction to the music industry occurred while he was still in high school, as a member of a gospel rap trio. He knew from then that he had found his true love. It was then that Sanders met producer K-Rab, and the two became fast friends, planning to open a record label together.

After high school, Lavour continued his journey and attended Morris Brown College. That’s when life threw a curveball. Due to the college losing its accreditation and its struggles with financial difficulties, Sanders was faced with a tough decision. Trusting his instincts, he enlisted in the military, hoping to earn the funds needed to kickstart the record label.

However, life had other plans, and Sanders returned home from active duty as a disabled veteran, becoming a stay-at-home father. Determined to turn his situation around and achieve the success he knew he was capable of, he delved into sales, eventually earning the moniker Boomman from customers who noted his booming success in selling jewelry, cars, and shoes.

Sanders’s early setbacks taught him invaluable lessons. He knew what he wanted and had the hunger to lead himself there. That sense of drive opened the doors for him to become the biggest club promoter in his area. With his rapidly expanding fanbase, he caught the attention of a major record label and became a force in the genre, signing major names and even rapping on his own.

Lavour Sanders Finds The Success He Knew He Would

In 2011, Sanders made his first million, collaborating with big names such as Future, 2 Chainz, and Gucci the following year. Although a tragic loss halted his momentum, he continued to support rising talent, becoming instrumental in the success of groups such as A1 Supergroup and Charlie Boy Gang.

Boomman’s astute business acumen and ability to both identify and nurture talent have earned him a professional reputation as an artist, manager, and label executive. He continues to be an innovative agent for change in the industry through his various ventures, including his distribution company Muzik Junky and his service-based company Authentic Empire.

As he steps into the role of Lavour Sanders, Boomman still holds on to the lessons he learned and the steps he took to achieve his goals. Now, planning to focus more on entrepreneurship, Lavour is sharing his knowledge and experience through his masterclass, A Million in 90 Days, and his upcoming book, Independent King. Despite the setbacks he’s faced, Sanders’ unrelenting faith in himself has led him to great success, and he looks forward to giving back to others through his educational ventures.
