Centene names Tanya McNally as its new chief people officer

Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), the Clayton-based managed health care provider, has named Tanya McNally as its new chief people officer. Tanya McNally has served as the regional vice president of human resources at the company and joined Centene as part of its acquisition of rival government payer WellCare Health Plans.

As the Chief People Officer, Ms. McNally will lead the Human Resources (HR) function and drive strategies to optimize employee and business success. She will continue to grow best-in-class talent management programs focused on developing and retaining Centene’s more than 74,000 purpose-driven employees.

“I look forward to Tanya’s leadership and continued success in promoting talent growth and innovation,” said Sarah London, Centene CEO, in the announcement. “Tanya brings a wealth of experience to the leadership team and believes in the profound impact our workforce has on driving our mission to improve the health of our communities, one person at a time.”

Centene CEO Sarah M. London was recently ranked No. 38 in a list of the world’s best CEOs for 2023; meanwhile, Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) ranked No. 38 in the CEOWORLD magazine’s ranking of the most influential companies in the world.
