Revealed: The 50 Best Cities In America For Starting A Business In 2020
Austin ranks first among the best U.S. cities to start a business in 2020, according to Inc. magazine, followed by Salt Lake City, Durham, Denver, and Boise.
Also ranked below Boise were San Francisco; Charleston, San Diego, and Phoenix, respectively. Miami rounded out the top 10 best U.S. cities to start a business in 2020, or the best places for startups.
The Surge Cities index analyzed seven key indicators, including early-stage funding and job creation, to determine the 50 best cities for startup growth. The list was developed by Startup Genome and used data on population growth, opportunity and innovation. Seattle ranked 12th because of strong wage growth and job creation by Amazon and Microsoft, among other companies.
