Leadership Change at Ramco Systems: Sundar Subramanian to Step Down, Abinav Raja Named New Managing Director

Ramco Systems CEO Sundar Subramanian will step down from his role effective January 3, 2025, with the board appointing Abinav Raja as Managing Director. Raja, the son of company founder PR Venketrama Raja, currently serves as the Whole Time Director.

In a message to the company, Subramanian highlighted that stability had largely been restored during his tenure, and a long-term transformation plan with key initiatives is now in progress. He noted that these initiatives are closely monitored through rigorous reviews, with clear metrics to assess success. Positive outcomes, such as enhancements in deal pricing and implementation processes, were already evident, and the company had also secured prominent clients across diverse sectors, including HRP, Aviation, ERP, and Logistics.

Subramanian joined Ramco in July 2023, having previously led delivery and operations for multinational IT and consulting firms, including Mphasis, Cognizant, IBM, and PwC.

In its second-quarter financial results, Ramco Systems reported a substantial reduction in net loss to $1 million, compared to $18 million in the same period the previous year. This improvement followed a $14-million write-off recorded in the second quarter of last year.
