The 2024 State of Enterprise WordPress Survey is now available, marking the second year that UK-based enterprise WordPress agency Big Bite is conducting this comprehensive study.
In the previous year, over 100 prominent organizations, including Macy’s, New Statesman Media Group, and The Times, participated in the survey. The 2023 report revealed how enterprises monetize their WordPress sites, with 9 out of 10 respondents expressing their intention to continue using the platform due to high levels of satisfaction. Furthermore, nearly three-quarters of the surveyed brands rated the return on investment (ROI) from their WordPress sites as good or excellent.
This year’s survey seeks to expand on those findings by collecting more detailed data on usage patterns, customization trends, budget allocations, and the challenges that enterprise brands encounter while using WordPress. The survey, which takes around six minutes to complete, addresses topics such as enterprise profiles, WordPress usage and selection, costs, maintenance, and future plans.
Big Bite’s CEO, Iain McPherson, reflected on the results of the previous survey, noting that they painted a highly positive picture of enterprise WordPress. He mentioned that nearly three-quarters of respondents indicated they would strongly recommend the platform to other large-scale organizations, suggesting that WordPress is likely to see even greater adoption among major brands in the coming years. However, McPherson stressed the importance of not becoming complacent.
He added that by releasing the State of Enterprise WordPress as an annual report, the goal is to foster an ongoing dialogue with as many enterprise users as possible. This, in turn, would help ensure that the broader WordPress ecosystem continues to evolve and meet the demands of large-scale brands.
Enterprise organizations currently using WordPress or those with an enterprise-level solution are encouraged to participate in the survey and share their experiences through the end of October. All responses will be kept confidential.
