PwC India Partners with Microsoft to Enhance Cybersecurity Response and Recovery
PwC India has announced a partnership with Microsoft India to bolster their incident response and recovery capabilities amidst growing cyber threats. This collaboration combines PwC India’s incident management expertise with Microsoft’s cutting-edge technology to provide robust protection for enterprises.
The partnership will utilize Microsoft Copilot for Security, an AI-powered security solution, allowing enterprises to leverage Microsoft’s extensive data and threat intelligence along with PwC’s secure system rebuilding and comprehensive incident management skills. Microsoft Incident Response will swiftly identify and remove threat actors, while PwC India focuses on securely rebuilding critical systems.
Terence Gomes, Partner at PwC India, highlighted the importance of AI and machine learning in enhancing security operations, emphasizing that these technologies can significantly reduce incident response times and process large volumes of data quickly to improve overall security. He expressed confidence that the collaboration will enable clients to predict, prevent, and respond to security threats more effectively.
Anand Jethalia, Country Head of Security at Microsoft India, noted the increasing complexity of the cybersecurity landscape due to the speed and sophistication of cyberattacks. He stated that the partnership with PwC will help organizations stay resilient by leveraging Microsoft’s technological and AI innovations, enabling enterprises to address threats at the speed and scale of AI.
Cyber threats are becoming more complex and frequent, and PwC India assists clients throughout the entire incident lifecycle, including exporting, crisis management, and recovery strategies. This collaboration with Microsoft India provides clients with enhanced threat intelligence to address issues arising from breaches. PwC’s global reach allows their teams to mobilize swiftly, whether remotely or on-site.
Vivek Belgavi, Partner and Leader of Alliances and Ecosystems at PwC India, cited a survey indicating that cyber risk is a top concern for Indian CEOs in the next 12 months. He believes AI-based tools like Copilot can help mitigate the challenges faced by cyber teams dealing with increasing and complex cyber attacks. The partnership aims to enhance security posture management, incident response, and security reporting for clients.
PwC India plans to support in-house threat intelligence by developing new data feeds and providing timely information on potential attacks, ensuring global visibility of the threat landscape.
