BENEO Appoints Olivier Roques as CEO Amid Growth in Plant-Based Ingredients

BENEO GmbH has named Olivier Roques as its new CEO and a member of its executive Board of Directors, effective June 1. In addition to his CEO duties, Roques will take on the role of Chief Sales Officer, succeeding Dominic Speleers. This appointment coincides with a pivotal moment for BENEO as its portfolio of plant-based functional ingredients continues to diversify and expand.

Olivier Roques brings over 30 years of experience in the international ingredients industry to his new role. With an engineering degree in agronomics and a master’s degree in business administration, Roques began his career in the dairy and flavor sectors before spending more than two decades in leadership positions at Agrana Fruit, a leading manufacturer of fruit preparations. His roles at Agrana Fruit spanned sales, food safety, quality, and new product development, culminating in his position as CEO of Agrana Fruit Europe before joining BENEO.

Roques expressed his enthusiasm for his new role and further emphasized the company’s strengths. Roques’ extensive experience and vision for strategic growth position BENEO to enhance its impact on global nutrition and health through innovative ingredient solutions.
