Wallbox Appoints Luis Boada as CFO and Plans Board Nomination for Jordi Lainz
Spain-based provider of electric vehicle (EV) Wallbox unveils the appointment of Luis Boada as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective from May 15, 2024. In addition to Boada’s appointment, Wallbox announces plans to propose Jordi Lainz as a member of the Board of Directors during the 2024 Annual General Meeting of shareholders, following a transition period.
Boada brings nearly two decades of corporate development, finance, and investor relations expertise, with a strong track record in both North American and European markets.
Boada’s appointment marks a strategic move for Wallbox, enhancing its leadership team with his extensive experience and market knowledge. He joins Wallbox from Fluidra, a global leader in pool equipment and connected solutions, where he served as CFO of North America.
Furthermore, Wallbox continues to advance its product portfolio and innovation initiatives, notably through integrations with ABL, a leading German manufacturer of EV charging solutions recently acquired by Wallbox. These endeavors underscore Wallbox’s dedication to driving sustainable mobility and accelerating the adoption of EVs globally.
These developments come amid a series of significant commercial milestones for Wallbox. The company recently unveiled a minority investment and commercial collaboration with Generac, further expanding its market reach. Additionally, Wallbox launched its DC fast charger, Supernova 180, in North America and entered the commercial and shared space charging market with the introduction of Pulsar Pro.
