As of February 20, 2024, Jay Y. Lee was the wealthiest person in South Korea, with an estimated net worth of 10.9 billion U.S. dollars, followed by Cho Jung-ho (No. 2, $5.7 billion), Kim Beom-su (No. 3, $5.0 billion); and Kwon Hyuk-bin (No. 4, $5.0 billion).

Mong-Koo Chung is the fifth-richest person in South Korea, with a whopping $4.7 billion. Hong Ra-hee ranked 6th with a personal wealth of $4.3 billion, followed by Lee Boo-jin with $3.8 billion. Euisun Chung is placed 8th with a net worth of $3.6 billion. Seo Jung-jin ($3.5 billion) occupied the 9th position among the top 10 wealthiest people in South Korea.
