Peel Ports Group Hires Jason Clark to Serve as CFO

Peel Ports Group welcomes Jason Clark as its newly appointed Chief Financial Officer, signaling a strategic addition to its executive team. In his capacity, Clark will oversee the Group’s finance, legal, and IT functions, reporting directly to CEO Claudio Veritiero.

Clark brings over 25 years of extensive experience in senior finance leadership roles within infrastructure sectors such as maritime, airports, and energy. His proven track record of effectively leading teams aligns with Peel Ports’ vision for driving growth and investment initiatives.

Before joining Peel Ports, Clark served as Chief Financial Officer for Smart DCC, overseeing the national data communications infrastructure for the UK’s energy smart metering network. Prior to this role, he held CFO positions at Bristol Airport and Condor Ferries, with earlier experience in the energy industry at RWE, culminating in his role as UK Finance Director.

Peel Ports emphasizes that Clark’s appointment strengthens its strategic direction as he joins the Group Board and Executive Team, leveraging his expertise in managing finance divisions for investor-owned infrastructure enterprises.

This appointment follows Peel Ports’ recent strategic initiatives, including the appointment of Marcus Connolly as Strategic Commercial Director to enhance global container operations. Additionally, Peel Ports Logistics’ agreement with renewable energy specialist Drax underscores its commitment to sustainable practices in maritime operations.
