“Failure and adversity can be steppingstones for future success,” includes Lindberg in his book. “Unless we embrace a willingness to fail, we’ll never rise to the top, achieve our dreams and turn adversity into advantage.”

This mindset helped Lindberg establish his first business as a sophomore student at Yale University. Over time, his small startup turned into a multi-million-dollar publishing company. Since then, Lindberg has acquired and transformed more than 100 companies that were either failing or underperforming and are now worth billions of dollars. He’s also employed more than 7,500 people.

In the book, Lindberg shares those successes, challenges, and his evolution into a successful entrepreneur. Each business failure, particularly during the challenging 1990s, served as a crucial lesson, preparing him for unforeseen challenges and fostering resilience.

“I was on the verge of failure for most of the 1990s,” said Lindberg. “In 1998, I almost went bankrupt thanks to an enormous shift in the market I was serving. But that experience taught me and my early employees how to pivot on a dime, refashion revenue streams, slash expenses, and build new pathways.”

In recent years, Lindberg was faced with some legal challenges, including a wrongful conviction which had him spent two years in federal prison. While this was a challenging time for Lindberg, he embraced adversity and used it as a guide to transform his life through intense wellness activities and mental challenges. 

His experiences and challenges as a business leader inspired him to author Lifelong and two other books available on Amazon. In 2023, he also founded Lifelong Labs, a science-based wellness, longevity and leadership brand which helps people live younger longer, healthier and happier.

The Lifelong book, now available on Amazon, aims to empower leaders across industries with tools to confront personal challenges, foster a culture of resilience and inspire growth and success.
