Sergey Brin, aged 50 and currently residing in the United States, serves as the Co-founder and Board Member at Alphabet (GOOG). With a substantial net worth of approximately $121,7 billion, Brin holds a 6% ownership stake in Alphabet. Additionally, he possesses a noteworthy cash reserve of $17.2 billion.
His entrepreneurial journey took flight when he co-founded Google with Larry Page in 1998. Brin assumed the role of Google’s President of Technology in 2001 when Eric Schmidt took over as CEO. At the Alphabet holding company, he continued in the same capacity after its establishment in 2015, stepping down in 2019 with Sundar Pichai assuming the CEO role.
Google, under Brin’s leadership, became the world’s dominant internet search engine, offering a comprehensive suite of online tools and services known as Google Workspace. Beyond software, Google also ventures into electronic devices, encompassing Pixel smartphones, computers, and tablets, Nest smart home devices, and the Stadia gaming platform.
