Edgio Promotes Todd Hinders to CEO

Edgio has appointed Todd Hinders as its new CEO following his tenure as the Chief Revenue Officer since May 2023. With this promotion, Hinders also assumes a position on the board, replacing Bob Lyons, who resigned from his roles as CEO, President, and board member.

Before joining Edgio, Hinders held the position of head of global sales and customer success at AWS Elemental for eight and a half years. His responsibilities encompassed overseeing go-to-market activities for various products, including AWS Elemental Media Services, CloudFront, Twitch Interactive Video Service, and Edge security products. With over 25 years of comprehensive experience in cloud, security, edge, and media platforms, Hinders has previously worked at esteemed companies like Cisco Systems and Maven Networks, among others.

Kenneth Traub, chairman of Edgio’s board, expressed gratitude to Bob Lyons while emphasizing the need for new leadership to propel Edgio’s growth in the market. Acknowledging the challenges faced in the previous year, Traub expressed optimism for the future under Hinders’ leadership, highlighting his continuity and fresh perspective.

Hinders conveyed his excitement about leading Edgio during this pivotal phase. He outlined the company’s transformative journey, focusing on optimizing the global edge network, expanding the customer base, particularly in high-margin streaming and application sectors, and reducing operational expenses.
