Lee Hwee Leng is the new CFO of Astro Malaysia

Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd announced the appointment of Dr. Grace Lee Hwee Leng as the new Chief Financial Officer, effective from January 1, 2024. According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Astro stated that Lee would be succeeding Shafiq Abdul Jabbar in this role.

Lee had rejoined Astro earlier as the Group Chief Operating Officer in August 2023. Prior to rejoining Astro, she held the position of CFO at Aeon Co (M) Bhd. Lee’s history with Astro dates back to 2002 until 2021, during which she held various roles within the organization. Her positions included Head of Process Improvement, Group Financial Controller, Chief Risk Officer, Chief Executive Officer of Go Shop, and Group Transformation Officer.
