Mahindra Group CEO Becomes FICCI President
Dr. Anish Shah, currently serving as the Group CEO of Mahindra Group and Managing Director of M&M, has assumed the role of FICCI President for the 2023-2024 term. This transition occurred during FICCI’s 96th Annual Convention in New Delhi, where Mr. Subhrakant Panda passed on the presidency to Dr. Shah.
Moreover, Mr. Harsha Vardhan Agarwal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director at Emami Limited has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President at FICCI. Joining the FICCI leadership, Mr. Anant Goenka, Vice Chairman of RPG Group, takes on the role of Vice President.
Dr. Anish Shah is renowned for his commitment to fostering a purpose-driven organization at Mahindra Group, which boasts a global workforce of over 260,000 individuals across 100+ countries. The group’s diverse portfolio spans 20 industries, including Farm Equipment & Technology Services, automotive manufacturing, financial services, and renewable energy, among others. Dr. Shah’s leadership aims to drive positive change, with a focus on climate action, gender equality, and education initiatives.
On the other hand, Mr. Harsha Vardhan Agarwal, a dynamic second-generation leader at Emami Group, has made significant strides in steering the FMCG business. Recognized for his strategic acumen, Mr. Agarwal has played pivotal roles in mergers and acquisitions, digital initiatives, and brand development within Emami Ltd.
Meanwhile, Mr. Anant Goenka’s professional journey includes remarkable achievements at RPG Group, particularly during his tenure as Managing Director of CEAT, where he significantly increased market capitalization.
