Matthias Aellig Succeeds Current Swiss Life Patrick Frost; Marco Gerussi is Promoted to CFO
Patrick Frost, the CEO of Swiss Life (SLHN.S), is set to step down from his position in May 2024, as announced by Switzerland’s largest life insurer on Monday. Having served as CEO for a decade, Frost will be succeeded by Matthias Aellig, the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Swiss Life. Aellig will assume the role effective May 16, according to the company’s official statement.
In addition to Aellig’s appointment, Swiss Life disclosed Marco Gerussi’s promotion to the position of CFO and outlined further leadership changes within Swiss Life Germany.
Following this announcement, the company’s shares experienced a 1.7% decline during early morning trading.
Rolf Doerig, the Chairman of Swiss Life, highlighted Aellig’s contribution, stating that the incoming CEO, alongside Patrick Frost, had been instrumental in shaping the company’s overall strategy.
