Simmons Welcomes Daniel Hobbs in the role of CFO and EVP
Simmons First National Corporation (NASDAQ: SFNC) has announced that Daniel Hobbs will join as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective December 4, 2023. Reporting to Simmons president Jay Brogdon, Hobbs will be based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Prior to Hobbs’ appointment, Brogdon held the dual roles of President and CFO.
Hobbs brings significant financial services industry expertise, notably serving as executive vice president and head of finance for a Southeastern bank with over $150 billion in assets. In this role, he led a finance team overseeing all aspects of the bank’s lines of business, support groups, strategic insights, analytics, and financial systems. He was instrumental in developing growth strategies and navigating the economic landscape.
Over his 16-year tenure, Hobbs held roles as CFO for the consumer bank and had responsibilities across operations, technology, digital, marketing, procurement, and corporate real estate. He has served in financial leadership positions at Saks, Incorporated, as director of financial planning and decision support.
Hobbs graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also graduated with honors from the CBA Executive Banking School and serves as a faculty member, offering CFO perspective insights to top talent from banks in the U.S. and internationally.
