G2 Brings Former Salesloft CFO to Become the First CFO

G2 has named Chad Gold as its inaugural Chief Financial Officer. Gold brings over two decades of corporate finance experience, notably serving as CFO, most recently at Salesloft.

Gold’s prior roles include serving as CFO at Rubicon, where he played a pivotal role in strategic planning, global expansion, and revenue growth. He was also a key figure at SAP Ariba, witnessing significant growth in cloud subscription revenue following SAP’s acquisition of Ariba in 2012.

Gold’s background includes various finance leadership positions at The Home Depot, with his career commencing at Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant in Business Valuation. In 2022, he was recognized as CFO of the Year by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

During his tenure at Salesloft, which spanned five and a half years, Gold significantly contributed to the company’s remarkable growth and expansion. His accomplishments included overseeing substantial funding rounds, leading to a substantial increase in the company’s valuation from $200 million to $2.3 billion through a majority stake investment by Vista Equity Partners.

Godard Abel, G2’s co-founder and CEO, highlighted Gold’s arrival as crucial for the company’s growth in the software landscape. Abel emphasized Gold’s extensive experience in scaling global finance and operations, positioning him to lead G2 toward its next phase of success.

Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Gold spoke about his passion for contributing to growth stories in the software sector. He noted Salesloft’s 10x growth and expressed optimism about G2’s potential to establish market leadership further.
