Peter Filato is the new CFO of WSP in Canada

WSP in Canada announced the appointment of Peter Filato as its new Chief Financial Officer. Peter officially joined the WSP team on 23 October, and his base of operations will be the company’s Montreal office.

Most recently, Mr. Filato held the position of CFO at Telecon, a prominent firm specializing in telecom network design, construction, and connectivity services. Peter boasts over 25 years of experience in the field of finance, commencing his career as an auditor and subsequently progressing through various financial roles at companies such as SNC-Lavalin and later Alcan. Following his tenure at Alcan, Peter became part of Gildan Activewear, where he spent 13 years and eventually assumed the role of CFO-Manufacturing. During his time at Gildan, he led teams in finance, IT, procurement, and legal and spearheaded several acquisitions and ERP implementations. Notably, he is a certified black belt in Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Peter Filato holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accountancy, both of which were earned at Concordia University in Montreal.
