Valley TeleCom Group has officially announced the appointment of Troy Judd as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. Possessing a 24-year career in the telecommunications field, with an impressive 23-year history at Valley TeleCom, Judd brings substantial experience and a proven track record of effective leadership to his fresh role.
Judd has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting earned from Western New Mexico University. He initiated his telecommunications career at the auditing firm Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss.
Judd’s journey within Valley TeleCom Group commenced more than two decades ago, and during this time, he has played a pivotal role in molding the organization’s growth and accomplishments. His profound grasp of the industry, coupled with his proficiency in administrative domains such as finance, human resources, regulatory compliance, billing, and marketing, uniquely position him to steer the company toward its next phase of growth and innovation.
Judd’s adept leadership skills were prominently displayed in 2021 when he masterminded the merger of Valley Telephone Cooperative and its subsidiary, Copper Valley Telephone. This strategic maneuver streamlined operations, leading to heightened efficiency and increased customer satisfaction. Furthermore, Judd secured a substantial $45 million loan from the USDA Rural Utilities Service, allocated for an extensive fiber-to-the-home internet deployment across a significant portion of the cooperative’s jurisdiction. This ambitious initiative is set to significantly enhance connectivity and bridge the digital gap in the region.
