eCards has selected Nashwa Kamel as the incoming CEO. The appointment was officially announced by e-finance on Sunday. The statement commended Kamel’s extensive banking career spanning over three decades, highlighting her remarkable accomplishments.
According to the statement, Kamel’s leadership will drive the company’s strategic direction towards pioneering digital payment solutions, fostering financial inclusion, improving customer experience, and shaping the landscape of digital payments. Her role will involve offering comprehensive and integrated digital payment solutions to banks and businesses.
Previously, Kamel held the position of Head of Banking Operations at Credit Agricole Egypt Bank and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Credit Bureau.
eCards delivers a range of products and services, including digital account opening services facilitated through online enrollment forms. These procedures encompass “know your customer” verifications, identity authentication, and digital fingerprint analysis. The company also provides thorough clearing and settlement services on behalf of member organizations, along with comprehensive data on performance indicators. Additionally, eCards is involved in card production, management, and processing.
Throughout its operations, eCards has played a significant role in digitalizing payments for various national initiatives. These include projects like the Takaful and Karama program, the Al-Falah card system, the administration of retirement cards for Egyptian pensions, the implementation of intelligent solutions in the transportation sector, the digital transformation of railway stations, and engagements with the public sector across diverse domains.
