As of August 24, 2023, Low Tuck Kwong has a net worth of US$26.0 billion, making him the wealthiest person in the energy industry. Leonid Mikhelson follows in second place with $21.6 billion, while Vagit Alekperov ranks third with $20.5 billion, and Harold Hamm comes in fourth with $20.2 billion.

The fifth and sixth spots on the list are occupied by Gennady Timchenko, whose net worth is $18.5 billion, and George Kaiser, whose net worth is $14.1 billion. Mikhail Fridman is placed 7th with a net worth of $12.6 billion. Sarath Ratanavadi ($12.1  billion) occupied the 8th position among the wealthiest people in the energy industry, followed by Jeffery Hildebrand (No. 9) with $11.2 billion and Autry Stephens (No. 10, $10.0 billion).
