Are water fountains healthy?

We need to keep our bodies fully hydrated at all times, and this might be a difficult challenge to upkeep as we are busy throughout the day. One of the greatest inventions to help us stay hydrated and healthy is drinking water fountains in public. They help us drink water when we are outside, and refill our water bottles in the park or at the gym, what more could you ask for?

One of the biggest concerns for many is the sanitary properties of drinking water fountains; just how sanitary are they and are they clean enough to drink? We’ll find out today as we get into the nitty-gritty of all things drinking water fountains.

Let’s get into it!

How does a drinking water fountain work?

Before we get into how healthy drinking fountains are, let’s first understand how to do these drinking fountains work. The main gist of a drinking water fountain is based on a simple operating system that makes it easy to use. There are three main components of the water fountain; the water reservoir, the pump, and the valve. The water is kept in the reservoir, and when the valve is pressed on then the water is pumped from the reservoir to the water drinking point. Once the valve is released the pressure is also loosened on the pump, allowing the water to go back down into the reservoir.

Now that is the basic mechanism of the majority of water fountains but keep in mind that there are various models. On the basic stance, some fountains can operate electronically while others may be solar-powered. Another variance in models is that there might be differences in sizes or numbers of reservoirs, pumps, and valves. There are fountains that allow the user to adjust the flow to their desired taste and others that have tubes that allow the water to flow in different directions.

All in all, water fountains are there to take a highly functional yet straightforward mechanism to allow us to stay hydrated when we most need it. Now let’s see if drinking fountains are safe to drink.

Do drinking fountains have filters?

One of the biggest concerns for most is just how safe and sanitary is it to use drinking water fountains? Generally speaking, they are safe to use but the best drinking fountains are ones that have water filters implemented into them for higher quality and safety of the water.

The other question now might be if drinking fountains have filters within them and the answer is some do. Nowadays it is more common to require or have a water filter within the drinking fountain but there is a chance that it might not be so. There are drinking water fountains that have a built-in water filter that does not require extra filters and just keeps the water filtered at all times. On the other hand, there also are water fountains that have added filters, most commonly sand filters or chemical filters.

Though modern water fountains do contain an added filtration system within the mechanism, sometimes the fountain needs a more powerful water filter, such as the vortex treatment. Vortex water treatment is a powerful tool that turns regular water into structured water. Read further to find out more!

Transforms your Drinking Fountain’s Water into Structured Water

What is structured water, and why do you need that in your drinking fountain? Structured water is often referred to as water in its most optimal state, where the unique hexagonal micro-clustered structure of the water revitalizes it. This structure can be found in water that is free-flowing in nature such as mountain springs and glacial waters. Sadly, this structure is lost as the water moves away from its natural habitat to be put through rigorous chemical treatments and additives. In the case of water fountains, the constant pressure, and pumping that the water goes through further speeds up the process of structure loss.

So, we know what is structured water but why is it so beneficial? Well, structured water is so widely revered due to its numerous capabilities that help the body, the environment, and the appliances it goes through as well. Here are some of the amazing benefits of structured water:

  • Remove all bacteria, viruses, and toxic contaminants – has the unique ability to self-clean continuously.
  • Keep the water pH levels balanced between 6.8 and 7.2.
  • Increase dissolved oxygen levels – better for the environment and wastewater management
  • Decrease maintenance requirements – helps keep the water fountain in peak condition for longer
  • Increase overall hydration levels
