Success Is Closer Than You Think – 3 Steps For a Different Approach

Success does not have a recipe, but it indeed has rules. Today we will discuss the three parameters that determine how we move in our lives and how to deal with them.

  1. Find your ”why”
It is impressive how the sequence in which we decide to do things can determine the outcome these will have at the end. One of the things we care about is finding a purpose in life or something that will make us feel so complete that we will be able to forget about all our worries and will be a true shelter for our exhausted psychology. The question is, ”How on earth will someone know what they want to do if they do not know why they want to do it?” Believe it or not, the reason you are passionate about something may be completely different than the reason a friend of yours is passionate about the exact same thing. At the same time, the reason you are excited to do this particular thing may also be the reason why you do not like to do something else. When we say that in order to find your purpose in life, you have to get to know your own self, it is because this way, you will answer all these strange ”whys” that determine your motivation. The motivation is based on these parameters that have to do with who we deeply are, after all. Answering these will help you resolve many issues and clear out the confusion that dominates inside your brain.
  2. Having a good idea alone is not enough
Remember when we were kids, and we used to make airplanes out of paper? This habit is popular in many parts of the world, and there is a reason for that. It is something that is not extremely difficult, and at the same time, it is not ridiculously easy to do. It demands the guidance of a person who knows how to do it already, plus it is a kind of social thing. The fun part is that after the kid makes the airplane, they get to test it and become super excited when they see their effort working. This is where we, as adults, often fail. We hear a great idea, or we even capture one ourselves, but after that, several steps are required to keep things going. First, we must put it into practice and build our own unique small airplane. We need guidance and advice from others or even Youtube and Google. In the meanwhile, we have to discuss our ideas with our friends just like we used to do when we were kids. Sharing our plans will let others tell us what they think about it and do some brainstorming with us. Once we build the project, we have one last step to do. We have to try it out. See how that responds to the real world and if our ”airplane” can fly after all. When we grow up, even if we construct a paper airplane, it is more probable that we will just let it sit on the table because we already know what that plane can do. The idea is just the beginning, not the whole trip, and it cannot stand alone to support our dreams and hopes if we do not help it. In order to fly, you have to put your feet down on the ground first.
  3. Who told you that?
Up to this point, we have not referred to the appearance of obstacles. Every time we become enthusiastic and start working on a new project, there is an obstacle that comes along the way. For every protecting angel that helped us get out of the couch and start working, there is an evil twin that says you can’t do it. This issue is only resolved in one way. You have to answer the question of who told you that. Will you, for the next seven days, challenge yourself to answer that question about a certain obstacle that comes up? Is it yourself, or is it other people? Just because someone told you doesn’t mean it’s true.
