The elements of the universe and oxygen for Earth

Part of the Periodic Table in blue

Of all environmental wonders, one is the most miraculous. A miracle that is connected to the journey of the breath, or in other words, life itself. This magical journey takes place with Oxygen. Oxygen is the eighth in the row of all the chemical elements that structure the material universe and was ranked by The Great Russian chemist Mendeleev. He first placed the elements based on how heavy they were and made the first Periodic Table.

Because his approach had some errors and some gaps, it was initially questioned by the scientific community. But some scientists improved the original version of the Periodic Table placing the elements according to the number of protons they have in their nucleus they all got in the right place.

In fact, based on the gaps that Mendeleev’s Periodic Table, the chemical elements that had not been discovered until that time were finally discovered. That’s how everything was sorted out; from Hydrogen to Uranium. It was thus revealed that matter is structured by small ”balls” of matter called protons. One proton ball and we have Hydrogen, two and we have helium, ninety-two balls, and here’s Uranium.
The atom of the element of respiration, that is, oxygen, has in its nucleus eight Proton balls.

That is why it occupies, as I said before, the eighth place in the dance of the elements. It is perfectly ascertained that nature knew what it was doing when it formed the elements, in its magic hands. Out of these elements the stars, the planets, and Earth are made. Therefore, all the chemical elements are natural goods since they were manufactured by the All-Wise nature. Some, of course, could be considered to be pure Evil since can kill us in the blink of an eye. This happens when we meet them in the so-called Free State wandering around alone. Perhaps we need to reconsider our future.

So nature finds a solution to this problem as well. These elements are designed to ”fall in love” with other killing elements and when those two meet together they are no longer a threat to human life. It is as if this ”marriage” has sweetened their souls and transformed them into valuable friends. So, from the green pure poison called chlorine and the explosive-toxic sodium, we have a wonderful outcome. Combining those two gives us salt which is essential for us plus it makes our food tasty!

All chemical elements are useful for life, free or united by chemical bonds, in simple or complex compounds. But the most useful, and the most blessed of all, is certainly oxygen. The element of breath and life. It enters our blood, joins the hemoglobin, and reaches the last cell of our body. What is it going to do there? It burns the biological fuel that we put into our bodies with food, and from this slow fire, we produce the warmth of our bodies and the energy of our movements, even of our thoughts. That’s why death is supposed to be cold, motionless, and silent. Because death lacks breath!

So, what happens when after that? When oxygen ignites the cell fire, it turns into carbon dioxide, the waste of our exhalation. But who said that waste is worthless to nature? this waste is miraculously recycled by plants, through photosynthesis, and free oxygen is produced again along with delicious oranges, and potatoes, and all the plants that we humans love. Perfect natural recycling fragrant. How is that possible? The carbon dioxide penetrates into the leaves of the plants and there it blends erotically with the water that rose from their roots. This time the sweetness of love comes in the form of glucose and once this is completed oxygen can find again an opportunity to escape and come back to the atmosphere to fill out lunges with life.

If you are wondering what prompted me to write this text I think the answer is obvious. We pollute our breath, spewing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere in terrifying quantities. From factories, cars, airplanes, and all kinds of internal combustion engines. We made mechanical dinosaurs, which suck up all day and all night oxygen, to vomit it up as carbon dioxide.
