Best Hotel Management Colleges in Vietnam, 2021

Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in South-East Asia which has kept its eyes on becoming a developed nation in the coming years. Highly occupied by the manufacturing industry, Vietnam takes lead in food products, machinery, textile, wood, vehicles, electronics, and tourism too. Due to the high involvement of tourism, hospitality is of utmost concern in the country. Vietnam features numbers of hotel management schools, some of which are mentioned below.

  1. Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
    Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), the first modern university in Vietnam, is one of the only two national universities in the country. This public research university is one of the most famed and reputed universities in Vietnam and is ranked under top150 by the ranking agencies.
    The university provides a full-time course in the English language with duration of 3 or 5 years. The course is taught by the professors of the USA, who provide an outlook of the industry along with practical experiences. Their advanced teaching method furnishes students with deep knowledge and practical skills related to hospitality, including tourism management and hotel management. The student needs to score a minimum GPA of 60 out of 100 with an appropriate English proficiency certificate, a medical examination report requisite for overseas study, and sufficient finance evidence for overseas study in the country.
  2. NTT Institute of International Education (NIIE).
    NIIE is the improved and innovative model of international education in the country. It looks forward to making the students equipped with the sufficient skills, personality, and knowledge required for a bright and successful career. The students get the opportunity to obtain a UK’s Bachelor’s Degree in Vietnam at an affordable cost. Its unique feature is its Top-up Bachelor Degree in Strategic Hospitality Management which is in coordination with the University of Gloucestershire (UK). This English-taught program is specifically designed for those students who have already done the Diploma in Hospitality Management. Its graduates can become quite eligible to take senior management positions in the industry.
  3. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
    Established in the year 1957, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is a non-profit public institution located in the southern area of the city. It’s one of the first universities of Vietnam to get accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training, considering all the new sets of quality standards. The university looks forward to rendering the highest quality education to all its students. It’s not easy to get admitted into it, it’s an easy procedure though. Students’ previous grades and past academic records are considered for admission. With an average High School Score of 65%, 1190 points in SAT, 24 points in SAT, and minimum grade B in Math & science subjects in GCE Advanced Level and BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma are some of the requirements. The international students are supposed to submit a few documents along with the admission form, like a passport, English certificate, and High School Mark sheet and Certificate/ Diploma.
  4. Hong Bang International University.
    Hong Bang International University is a private university, famed for innovation and leadership in every aspect possible. The university focuses on radical and critical thinking, improving creativity, and experimenting. It has liaisons with business networks that ultimately benefit the students. It furnishes the students with the requisite knowledge and skills to prosper in their careers. There are numerous support services provided by the university; sports, cultural events, social events, and entertainment activities are just to name a few. To help out the international students, courses are taught only in English.
  5. Van Hien University.
    Established in 1997, Van Hien University is a private university located in Ho Chi Minh City. From specialization in Sociology and Humanity, it has beautifully turned over into an organization presenting nine faculties, including tourism and hospitality. A team of 300 lecturers provides the students with scientific knowledge, both theoretically and practically. Its inter-University training program helps the students with more opportunities academically and non-academically. The university is coming up with a new campus featuring modern facilities that can encompass over 10,000 students.
